This is what Renault should be selling to the Royal Mail-would work brilliantly, but without doors and in Royal Mail colours

Hi Nikki,

thank you for your interest.
At the moment we offer the Home Delivery Solution as one system, including the rack + 2 Avatherm Thermoboxes + EU-conformed TÜV certificate + assembling by an authorized car mechanic.
Currently all this has to be mounted in Germany.
The price for this whole package is € 1.250,- ex works.

HOWEVER, in the very near future we will be able to send the rack as a kit which then can be mounted by the car mechanic of your choice. Please note that we offer the rack with the 2 Avatherm Thermoboxes as a package.
You can already pre-order the assembly set for a price of € 990,- ex works.

If you should require any more detailed information, please do not hesitate contacting us via [email protected] or by phone.

Warmest regards,
Your Thermologik-Team

I think this is the best aftermarket item for the Twizy-an excellent design-as long as in use it causes no stability issues. I guess the weight of it and the 40kg limit has been well tested to pass TUV tests, but there could be an issue if this was unintentionally overloaded.

Renault (and R UK) needs to get this in for tests and aggressively market the package as a small commercial; ideal for Royal Mail, city couriers, council departments, Pizza/takeaway firms etc.

To me, as said before, this would seem to be the perfect solution (trade unions aside!) for a good percentage of Royal Mail vehicles and if their model was doorless and wrapped, the unit could be removed off the rear, the wrap removed and the Twizy resold as a retail passenger vehicle.

I’ve shown this to several Postmen and they reckon it would speed them up massively with being easy to manouevre and park and with having no doors in the way and also not having to keep switching it on and off. I guess the Unions would step in and moan about passive safety and lack of heating-but if used as a large solution to replace vans AND some post bikes as a better compromise for staff, it could work well.
