Better without the Window. If it wasn’t for those wheels it looks just like mine!

Enjoy it now the weather is improving.

Thanks osbrook, yes the weather has been superb for maiden voyage to Sainsbury’s!!

Anyone who becomes the owner of one of these?

(Peter) #401

After a few weeks of searching I finally found a Twizy that met my requirements.

Technic, with doors, white seat and dash, white bodywork and 2015 (post charger upgrade and Powerbox compatible). It also has the added benefit of the Parrot system, which is pretty good, and windows.

So far I’ve spent lots of time cleaning plus sorted some minor issues. Due to poor weather I’ve only been for a short drive but was surprised how nippy it is and how easily it cruises at 50mph.

After some blogposts on this forum and many considerations, I bought a new Twizy last year. Time flies as she’s 6 months old already but still enjoying every second of it.

Your Twizy has appeared for sale again on eBay?

(Andrew J Bell) #404

Yes I have just seen it myself! Really wierd, I can assure you that is still MY Twizy and it is safely in our garage in Norwich. I have the registration document for it now in my name too. I dont know what game they are playing, I suspect it is just a mistake and they have re-listed along with the other vehicles that they have for sale. I will find out when thay re-open on Monday. They are not a company that I would want to deal with again, but I am very pleased with my Twizy.

(Andrew J Bell) #405

Mystery solved, I think. They now have a 2012 Colour listed so I believe it is a mix-up with the listing (and photots) it appears. Not such a good deal as mine, no Parrot, no alloys, no reverse bleepers, a year older, twice the mileage and most importantly £500 more than I paid!!

The windows look great. :sunglasses:

Best way to carry your groceries around and still have room inside for your wife. Love having a roof rack.

Hi Pete, where did you get those mirrors and how did you mount them?

Hi Luis,

Thanks for your DM. I got the mirrors on EBay. Here are similar ones:

Carbon look wing mirrors

And here are some cheaper Matt black ones:

Matt black wing mirrors

Of course there are more expensive genuine carbon fibre ones at about £100.

The most difficult part of fitting is the removal of the original mirrors. I snapped some of the plastic retaining clips when prising off the cover to gain access to the screws. So be careful.

You should drill the holes in the replacement mirror fixing plate at 1mm larger. This will allow them to line up with the screw holes in the door frame. See picture below (sorry about the quality):

Thereafter, I fashioned a black flip flop with a craft knife to bung up the hole.

I hope that the above helps. But let me know if you need more information.
