Windows for Twizy

(Normsthename) #61

The Windows are fine on rough roads.
The top of the door is secured by a ‘Bolt’ that fits into a hole that I had to drill in the plastic
If you watch the video you can see the guy reaching inside to undo the bolt

Thanks Andy,

Now I’ve seen It! Looks very good and solid!

(Mike) #63

How’s much are these windows please? Are they working out ok?

(Fredrik) #64

Hello
They where 350 Euro including shipping. They work very well, the best thing is that you do not have to do anything with the windows when opening/closing the door, no velcro, magnets or locks to fiddle with. Just open and close! The downside is that it clappers against the rubber seals on bad roads, but I can easily live with that.

yes I ordered them 3 months ago and paid, and then he kept saying the were on there way, then he said manufacture delay, then no word. Lucky I paid by card so I was able to get my money back.

(Fredrik) #66

Hello!
What windows did you order that never was delivered?

Fredrik

Does it rain into the car when you are parked?

#71

Hi
Do you have a link from where you bought your windows?

(Victoria) #73

Hi,

Yes I bought them on ebay from this seller http://www.ebay.com/usr/greencarsmilano?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

And here´s a link for the windows  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Twizy-kit-Window-Twy-Rain/332082268738

#74

Thanks.
Are you happy with the windows?

(Victoria) #75

Yes, I sure am

#76

I know a lot of you guys are anti-windows. But I often find quite practical uses for them. :kissing_smiling_eyes:

#77

Hi, are these Windows really full rain proof?

#78

Not “fully”, no. Some water drips in from the top in heavy rain. And there is a ~1 inch gap between the twizy’s plastic side window things and the bottom of the Twzy Rain windows, but surprisingly little comes through there.
Any water that does make it in though, never gets on the driver. Just some drops on the floor on either side of the seat.

I wouldn’t be without my lockable plastic windows, especially now it’s starting to get cold.
Yes, I have driven the Twizy without windows in freezing weather. No thank you!

Thank you for your replies.
Anyone knows if the ones from garageev.com https://www.garageev.com/tienda/accesorios-para-vehiculos-electricos/ventanas-para-renault-twizy-completas-de-policarbonato/ are a better option?

(Pål Andor Østvold) #82
